As a dentist near North Plains, Dr. Royse enjoys working with the pediatric population after spending more than 18 years in private practice. Earning his dental degree from The Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry, he went on to serve as a dental officer in the United States Navy. Over the span of 11 years in military service, he completed his General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. He then went on to finish his residency in pediatric dentistry at the Fort George G. Meade DENTAC Pediatric Dentistry Residency in 1995.
From 1995-1998, he served as the Head of Pediatric Dentistry at the United States Naval Dental Center in Naples, Italy. To this day, he remains an active reserve officer in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps.
As a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, he is committed to providing exceptional dental care to young patients with growing and developing smiles. He is a published author and recipient of various awards acknowledging his achievements and commitment to pediatric dentistry.
Outside the office, you will find him with his wife Wendy. With two grown children, they often spend their time traveling, hiking, gardening, cooking, and engaging in fitness together.
The staff here are fantastic! They are so friendly and conscientious. The hygienists and dentist take the time to explain any procedures to my child, and they are incredibly patient. We have never felt rushed or ignored. My daughter actually looks forward to going to the dentist now!
